MPs: Oil Ministry’s performance in collecting flare gases went beyond development plan
A number of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly positively evaluated the performance of the Ministry of Oil in controlling flare gases and stated: "The 14th government has taken effective measures to reduce the waste of this national capital."

According to Energy Press, a number of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, while implementing various measures to collect flare gases by the Ministry of Oil, positively evaluated the performance of this ministry in the field of flare gases collection in the 14th government. According to them, the level of realization of flare gas collection plans in the first year of the 14th government has exceeded the predictions contained in the Seventh Development Plan.
Malik Shariati Niasar, a member of the Parliament’s Energy Commission, regarding the performance of the Ministry of Oil in the field of flare gases collection, said: The final evaluation of the performance of the agencies is based on the evaluation of the Planning and Budget Organization. Therefore, if we count on this basis, the flare gases field has been the strongest sector of the Ministry of Oil in the first year of the development plan.
Flare gas collection is an effective step in preserving national assets
Asadollah Cheraghi, a representative of Dehloran in the parliament, also stated that the Ministry of Oil has had significant successes in the field of flare gas collection and extinguishing flares so far, and added: Such valuable projects undoubtedly prevent the waste of national capital and are considered a lasting and valuable measure that is a symbol of national self-confidence and a major step in preserving national capital.
He added: Accelerating the collection of flare gases helps create job opportunities, significantly reduce environmental pollutants, improve air quality, preserve the environment, and increase added value by completing the value chain of hydrocarbon products.
