Localization of Bandar Imam’s vital petrochemical equipment implemented

According to Energy Press, citing Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, in line with the realization of the “New Imam Port” plan and focusing on the domesticization of strategic equipment, a series of sensitive items have been produced and localized, relying on the technological capabilities of domestic knowledge-based companies. Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company set a new record at the Petrocom 1403 event, signing more than 94 memorandums of understanding and contracts with domestic knowledge-based companies to supply and manufacture the parts and equipment it needs.
The domestic manufacture of seawater pump parts by one of the knowledge-based companies is one of the most important recent achievements. These pumps, known as the “beating heart” of the complex, play a vital role in supplying cooling water to units such as olefin and aromatics. Any disruption in their performance can lead to a complete stoppage of production lines. The successful production of these parts domestically has not only reduced dependence on imports, but also ensured the sustainability of production by reducing operational risks.
