Leading the country’s oil exploration by relying on modern technologies

According to Energy Press, Hamid Borde said today (Monday, June 25) at a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of oil exploration in Iran, emphasizing that exploration is the first link in the oil and gas production chain: The history of exploration in Iran is a brilliant and proud history. I believe in documentation and historiography in the oil industry and I hope that this action will also be seriously pursued in the National Iranian Oil Company. A book has also been compiled in the field of exploration that needs to be completed and published.
Stating that we are ahead of the projected plan and capacity for exploration in the country, he added: I hope that by utilizing new technologies, we can access new fields (although smaller) and provide opportunities for the private sector to operate in the form of IPC contracts or other contractual models.
Referring to the need to pay attention to shale resources and unconventional oils, the Deputy Minister of Oil stated: Lorestan shale oil should be given serious attention. Access to large fields has become difficult, but a significant number of oil fields in the country have not yet been developed.
Masjid-e-Suleiman, the origin of oil and the starting point of development
The board, referring to Masjid-e-Suleiman’s historical position in the oil industry, stated: The discovery of oil in Masjid-e-Suleiman was the beginning of political, economic, and social developments in the country, and if there has been any progress in the Iranian economy over the past 117 years, more than 50 percent of it is due to the oil industry.
