Iran’s rainfall decreased compared to last year
According to Energy Press, a total of 170.2 mm of rain has been recorded in the country since the beginning of the current water year until now (204 days of the current water year).
The amount of rainfall in the current water year has decreased by 16% compared to the 203.1 mm rainfall in the same period of normal years (55-year average statistics).
Also, the amount of rains of the current water year compared to the 178.1 mm rains of the last water year in the same period, shows a 4% drop in the rains of this year compared to the rains of the previous water year, which was a less rainy year.
The only province that has had a drop of more than 50% in the amount of precipitation compared to normal years is Hormozgan province, which has recorded a 53% decrease in the amount of precipitation in this province; After that, the provinces of Bushehr, Fars and Kerman had the highest decrease in rainfall with a decrease of 44%, 42% and 38%, respectively.
