Iran’s petrochemical capacity will reach 131 million tons by the end of the Seventh Plan

According to Energy Press, Hossein Alimurad, Director of Planning and Development of the National Petrochemical Industries Company, regarding whether the Seventh Development Plan will be realized according to the plans made, said: Fortunately, we have no concerns about reaching the capacities listed in Table 11 under Article 47 of the Seventh Development Plan.
Pointing out that we know that we must reach the capacity of 131 million tons by the end of the Seventh Development Plan and we will, he noted: We know that we will reach these capacities by the end of the Seventh Development Plan, but the important point is that capacities are on one side and production rates are on the other.
Alimurad added: Currently, the focus that the National Petrochemical Industries Company is focusing on with the help of the Ministry of Oil is to be able to increase actual production, because the relevant capacity that has been considered must be increased.
