Iran’s electricity consumption reaches 1800 megawatts
According to the report of Energy Press, Ministry of Energy, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, while expressing the importance of load management in Tehran region and Qom and Alborz provinces, emphasized the necessity of preparing the power plants in the region.
He also reviewed the latest status of the priority projects in these areas, which are planned to overcome the peak of electricity consumption in 1403, and said: Being in the orbit of these projects can help the electricity industry this summer.
In this meeting, while presenting a report on the state of the country’s electricity network, the main bottlenecks of the transmission, super-distribution and distribution networks in the regional electricity area of Tehran and Alborz and Qom provinces were examined, and a decision was made regarding the supply of equipment needed for the substations under construction.
In another part of this meeting, the status of the progress of the priority projects of the transmission line and post according to the 180 operational plans of the Ministry of Energy to pass through the peak load this summer in technical details was discussed with the necessary measures to solve the challenges and move forward as quickly as possible. The plans were accompanied by the CEO of Tawanir Company.
According to the report presented by the Iran Electricity Network Management Company, in this meeting, the peak load of Tehran’s regional electricity last year was 12,500 megawatts, which is expected to increase to more than 13,450 megawatts this year, which requires the strengthening of electricity consumption management plans from 1,500 megawatts last year to about 1,000 megawatts. and 800 megawatts this year at the level of 3 provinces.
