Iran’s average gasoline consumption will grow by 10% next year

According to Energy Press, according to the CEO of the National Refining and Distribution Company, for next year, our estimate is that the average consumption of gasoline will grow by 8-10% compared to this year and will reach 124-126 million liters.
Jalil Salari, CEO of the National Company for Refining and Distribution of Petroleum Products, referring to the latest state of gasoline consumption and production in the country, stated: Gasoline consumption varies in different months of the year, but on average this year, about 115 million liters of gasoline were consumed per day in the country. .
He added: In the field of production, it should be noted that this year, two major overhaul projects were implemented in refineries, for example, the two phases of Setareh Khalih Fars Refinery have almost completed their overhauls; Each phase of this refinery produces about 14 to 15 million liters of gasoline per day. Or the catcracker unit of Abadan Refinery also needed repairs for almost a month.
Salari pointed out: Also, a large amount of accumulated repairs in the country’s refineries is being done to prevent possible accidents. But with all these conditions, we increased the production of gasoline in the country to about 112-113 million liters per day, which of course used the capacity of refineries and petrochemicals in compliance with the standards.
Cars are the main cause of high gasoline consumption in the country
