Non-price policies do not work

He added: due to the low price and price stability of petroleum products, especially in the diesel sector, the government’s policy has always been to control and monitor more about the production and distribution of this product, but unfortunately, due to the lack of necessary infrastructure for targeted monitoring, so that the real consumer do not encounter problems; We witnessed the implementation of negative and restrictive plans which, although it has reduced the amount of diesel distribution, but it has caused a lot of damage to the private sector in distribution and consumption. Long queues to get diesel

The spokesman of the country’s petrol stations association said: In all provinces, especially the border provinces and near the border, we see long queues to receive diesel in front of the stations, which brings many problems, from the loss of fuel stations to the increase in the waiting hours of diesel cars to receive this product, which leads to An increase in freight and definitely the cost of goods and services.

Delay in charging quotas

He stated: the implementation of various plans, such as the regionalization of the quota for picking up heavy vehicles at the stations, the growth of discrimination in the implementation of the coding scheme, the reduction of sending diesel to the stations, which has made it impossible to distribute diesel around the clock and the cars have to go to the stations. different or stopping in front of a station and waiting for diesel to arrive so that they can refuel, reducing the allocation of quotas to the fleet or delay in charging these quotas, failure to fully and accurately implement the survey plan after a 5-year delay and the impossibility of sufficient distribution of diesel to The free rate and the existence of a minimum free diesel card in a small number of stations, which is accompanied by many restrictions, and the implementation of some plans in some provinces has led to negative competition, and we have seen many problems and protests in this regard.

What is the main cause of diesel smuggling?

Nawaz emphasized: We believe that the main diversion of diesel or its smuggling is not from the stations, and the statistics also say this, so negative plans in this sector will only cause the stations and real consumers to face problems. Decision makers should know that the most convenient methods are not necessarily the best methods and this approach is only to erase the face of the problem. A closer examination shows that the creation of general and non-targeted restrictions does not have an effect on fuel deviation, but causes the major damage to the consumer. Currently, more than 60 million liters of diesel is distributed in the road transport sector, but most of the heavy vehicles are not satisfied with the current situation. However, the government’s efforts in increasing the production of this product in the last three years are considered a kind of record.
