Iran-Russia Joint Commission Lays Groundwork for Expanding Energy and Infrastructure Cooperation

According to Energy Press, citing the Presidential Information Center, at the cabinet meeting held on Sunday evening (March 20) chaired by President Masoud Pezzekian, the cabinet members, in addition to discussing executive issues, presented specialized reports in strategic areas including energy, security, diplomacy, defense, and higher education.
In this meeting, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad presented a report on the holding of the 19th Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation and emphasized the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, transit, investment, and joint infrastructure projects.
The 19th Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between Iran and Russia began its work in Tehran on Monday (February 17) and ended its work on Wednesday (February 19) with the holding of 17 specialized working groups in various economic areas and the signing of four cooperation memorandums of understanding.
