Iran ranks 30th in nuclear power production in the world
Last year, Iran produced 6.6 terawatt hours of nuclear power and became the 30th country in the world in this regard.

According to Energy Press, the Energy Institute has announced a one percent increase in nuclear power production in Iran in 2023 in the “World Energy Statistical Review Report” that it recently published. Iran has produced 6.6 terawatt hours of nuclear power this year, which is a one percent increase compared to the previous year.

Iran’s nuclear power production has grown by about 5% in the 13th government. Iran had produced 6.4 terawatt hours of nuclear power in 2020, the last year of the 12th government.

Iran is among the few countries in the world that have nuclear power generation. In 2023, only 33 countries in the world, including Iran, have produced nuclear electricity.

The total nuclear electricity produced in the world during this year was equal to 2737 terawatt hours. This figure has grown by 2.2% compared to the previous year.

With the production of 6.6 terawatt hours of nuclear power last year, Iran ranked 30th in the world in this regard.
