Iran produces Euro 5 gasoline

According to Energy Press, one of the environmental issues that have always been the source of controversy between environmental experts and oil industry experts is the quality of gasoline, which is why Euro 4 gasoline was used in big cities. Despite the sanctions, Iran has made news about the possibility of producing Euro 5 gasoline in some Tehran refineries. As the CEO of Imam Khomeini Oil Refining Company has said, we are currently in the production phase of Euro 5 gasoline and we are selling our Euro 5 gasoline in a limited volume to the market.

According to him, the amount of production and supply of Euro 5 gasoline should be coordinated with the refining and distribution company of petroleum products and we act based on the policies determined by them. Of course, Shazand Oil Refining Company is ready to supply its entire production of gasoline and diesel as Euro 5.

He pointed out that with the production of Euro 5 gasoline, the amount of gasoline produced may decrease slightly, and explained: Currently, with the production of Euro 5 gasoline, the amount of gasoline produced may decrease slightly, but with the implementation of a new program, the decrease in production volume can be prevented.
