According to the Energy Press report from the Ministry of Energy, Abbas Ali Misrzadeh stated that carbon black is used as a raw material in industries, especially the rubber industry, and said: the production of this product in the wastewater treatment process can create more income and added value than the product that has been produced so far. has been disruptive to the environment, prevent environmental pollution.
According to him, this year, the sewage company’s plan is to convert 120 tons of sludge daily into diesel and carbon black, which can be used in the heating system of refineries and related facilities, and carbon black is also a raw material needed by industries in the stock market. be offered
Stating that sewage is considered a source of pollution and a threat to human societies at first sight, he said: a good thing that happens in basic and hygienic sewage collection projects and plans is that the threat of sewage becomes an opportunity.
He stated: While sewage projects help to promote health and preserve the environment, they will also help the industry sector by offering products from the sewage treatment process, including effluent, in a competitive environment like the stock market.
The CEO of Tehran Wastewater Company stated that electricity is another product of the wastewater treatment process, and reminded: Currently, nearly 15 megawatts of electricity is produced from the gas obtained from wastewater treatment in Tehran, which can supply the electricity of a city of 120 thousand people and partially compensate It helps to avoid electricity imbalance especially during peak consumption times and to prevent the release of greenhouse gases in the environment.
