Iran lacks energy for half of the year

On the other hand, everyone is looking for an increase in production, while experts, taking into account the severe consumption statistics in Iran, demand increased attention to consumption optimization.
Arash Najafi, head of the Iran Oil Industry Federation and head of the Chamber’s Energy Commission, told “Enchant” about the conflict in different seasons: We are not yet involved in conflict in all seasons. We are dealing with electricity imbalances in the summer, but because the power plants work with low efficiency, we unfortunately have high gas consumption. In winter, we have the problem of gas shortage due to not reducing effective consumption and not using optimal fuel. We do not have dissatisfaction in early autumn. We have a good situation in gas and electricity in March, April, May. It is not a bad situation since the end of September and the end of November. As a result, we are dissatisfied for about 6 months.

He went on to say about the solution to overcome the conflict: Our solution for stability and solving the crisis of conflict is definitely not to increase production. We have to consider reducing consumption, otherwise our consumption peak is three months and we will actually lose if we increase the production seriously to cover the total imbalance, it is better to eliminate the summer imbalance by optimizing and managing consumption.
