The CEO of Tovanir Company said: The increase in electricity demand in the country compared to the same period last year was nearly 6%.

According to Energy Press News Agency, Mustafa Rajabi Mashhadi was quoted by Tawanir saying that based on our forecast and studies, three possible options for the growth of electricity consumption have been seen.

Pointing out that this year due to the arrival of new industrial, agricultural subscribers, 3,500 megawatts will be added to the country’s electricity consumption, he said: based on last year’s experiences and meteorological forecasts, the three possibilities are 3.5, and 4.5 and 6 percent are considered for the growth of electricity consumption.

Rajabi Mashhadi stated that meteorological forecasts indicate the possibility of a 2-3 degree increase in air temperature compared to normal growth, and noted that if this temperature change occurs, we will witness a 6% increase in consumption and reach a peak load of 77,750 We will be megawatts.
