Iran has a 23% share in Middle East polymer production

According to Energy Press report, Mohammad Reza Heydarzadeh told reporters that the polymer industry is one of the country’s strategic industries and has a high foreign exchange rate, and we can achieve these goals considering the advantages of this industry and the conditions of our country. Export target countries are formed to solve export problems. One of the problems in the country is the lack of raw materials for polymer industries and the increase in their prices.
He stated that in addition to this issue, the lack of ability to modernize machines is also a fundamental problem, and said: plans have been made to solve these problems through interaction between the private sector, the Chamber of Commerce and the target countries.
The vice-chairman of the Petrochemical Commission of the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exporters Union stated that the actual production of polymer products in the world is 390 million tons and in the Middle East 36 million tons and stated that the actual production share of polymer products in Iran is 8.1 million Tons of the total nominal capacity of 8.8 million tons are 2% and 23% of the actual production of polymer products in the world and the Middle East, respectively.
The CEO of Ariassol Polymer Company stated that the cumulative production in the first half of 1402 was equal to 1,014 thousand tons, which is a 3% increase compared to the same period last year, and said that the company’s 6-month profit is equal to 5,751 billion It is estimated that this profit was equivalent to 35% of the sales amount of this company in the mentioned period, it also has 12 growth compared to the same period last year.
