According to Energy Press, citing the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, Mohammad Ali Dadour, referring to the achievements of the 14th government in the field of crude oil refining, said: At the beginning of the 14th government, the country’s refining capacity was about 2.24 million barrels per day, which has now increased by about 160 thousand barrels.
Stating that this increase in capacity was achieved through continuous monitoring and precise control of the performance of the country’s refineries, he said: The largest increase in capacity was in the Abadan refinery, up to 70 thousand barrels, the Persian Gulf Star refinery, 35 thousand barrels, and the Isfahan refinery, between 30 and 40 thousand barrels.
The deputy CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, emphasizing the maximum utilization of the country’s refining capacity, stated: We increased the refining capacity in such a way that the volume of crude oil reserves in the transmission route and balance tanks reached the lowest possible level. However, we managed to maintain and stabilize the created capacity.
