Increasing the capacity of the South Pars Gas Complex power plant
According to Energy Press, Gholamreza Fereydouni, during a visit to the South Pars Gas Complex and Centralized Joint Storage Refinery today (Monday, January 2nd), stated that the power plant was launched in 2009 and stated: This power plant was launched with the aim of supplying electricity to the refineries under the South Pars Gas Complex, the petrochemical plants in the area, and the port facilities with a nominal capacity of 1,000 megawatts.
He referred to the three-block combined cycle development plan and added: This plan is being implemented by Pars Oil and Gas Company, which will increase the power plant’s nominal capacity to 1,500 megawatts with the launch of three blocks.
The head of the South Pars Gas Complex Power Plant stated: This power plant includes 6 166-megawatt gas units, 9 power substations, and 400 kilometers of power transmission lines, and it will contribute to the national electricity grid in the summer.
