Increasing Iran’s gas cooperation with Turkmenistan and Russia
According to Energy Press, citing the government’s information base, Masoud Mezikian yesterday evening (Friday) after returning from his trip to Turkmenistan explained the results and achievements of this trip, stating that this trip had culturally appropriate effects, in the presence of 8 presidents of the countries. In it, the region pointed out and stated: On the sidelines of a conference held in Ashgabat to commemorate the great Turkmen poet Makhtoumaghli Faraghi, we had a meeting and discussion with 4 heads of state.
Referring to his meeting with the national leader and the president of Turkmenistan, he added: In this meeting, we had agreements on cooperation and exchanges of gas, electricity, and the development of border markets, which was decided to be held at the meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held in Tehran. Agreements will be finalized.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also mentioned his one-hour meeting with the President of Russia and said: “In this meeting, we had constructive consultations on agreements and contracts between the two countries in the fields of gas, road, railway, water desalination, energy and petrochemical cooperation, and it was decided to implement the agreements.” The two countries should be speeded up.
