Increasing gas transmission capacity in the north of the country
The Director of Region 4 of Iran's Gas Transmission Operations announced: By transferring the second compressor of the Farouj gas booster station to the Ramsar station, gas transmission capacity will be improved during the cold season and the infrastructure of gas booster stations in the north of the country will be strengthened.

According to Energy Press, citing the Iranian Gas Transmission Company, Ahmad Zahedi announced the successful completion of the operation to separate the second gas compressor from the Farouj gas booster station and send it to the Ramsar gas booster station, and stated: This specialized operation was carried out in full coordination with the operational teams of the Farouj station and the regional overhaul unit in a limited time.
He stated that the purpose of this measure is to improve gas transmission capacity in the cold season and strengthen the infrastructure of gas booster stations in the north of the country, adding: Part of the strategic plan of the Iranian Gas Transmission Company is to optimize equipment in sensitive and high-consumption areas. Considering the key role of the Ramsar gas booster station in supplying gas to the northern provinces, the relocation of this compressor will ensure stability and increase transmission capacity in this axis.
The Director of Region 4 of Iran’s Gas Transmission Operations, appreciating the efforts of the staff of the Farouj Gas Boosting Station and the technical and specialized team of the region’s overhaul unit, stated: “This operation was carried out by strictly observing safety requirements, performing technical calculations, controlled line disconnection, and carrying out the steps of opening, separating, and loading the compressor in a limited time and without any incidents, which demonstrates the high level of preparedness, coordination, and skill of the region’s operational teams.”
