Increasing gas cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan

According to Energy Press, Mohsen Paknejad met with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Muradov today (Tuesday, May 20), referring to the holding of a joint commission between the two countries in the current days and the diverse agendas of this commission, and said: Holding these commissions can increase the level of trade exchanges between the two countries.
Stating that constructive interaction with neighboring countries, especially Turkmenistan as a friendly and brotherly country, has always been of great importance in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added: The 14th government has a serious determination and will to develop cooperation in the field of energy with Turkmenistan.
The Minister of Oil pointed to the speed of implementation of the Turkmenistan-Turkey gas swap agreement via Iran and said: “We hope that other relations between the two countries in the field of energy, such as the gas import agreement from Turkmenistan, will progress at the same speed.”
