Increasing consumption of refined products despite the upward trend in production over the past ten years

According to Energy Press, Nasser Ashouri, Secretary General of the Oil Refining Industry Employers’ Association, said at the opening ceremony of the 6th Specialized Exhibition and Conference on Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals with an approach to supporting domestic production: “In the past ten years, the increase in product production in the country’s oil refineries has been completely upward and there has never been a downward trend in production, but rather the trend in product consumption in the country has been leapfrogging.” With the growth and development of domestic knowledge-based companies, 85 percent of the refining industry’s equipment is now domestic, and in a refinery overhaul operation, up to 25,000 pieces are sometimes replaced. The latest production rate of special products in the country’s refining units is about 107 to 115 million liters per day.
