The CEO of the Isfahan Oil Refinery announced the start of the trial operation of the first phase of the project to transfer water from the sea to Isfahan Province, saying: "With the operation of this project, about 700,000 cubic meters of water needed by this refinery will be provided monthly in this way."

According to Energy Press, Gholamreza Bagheri-Dizaj, in explaining the project to transfer water from the sea to Isfahan province, announced that this project is one of the most important projects of the Isfahan Refinery, which has been implemented and put into operation with the aim of sustainably supplying the water needed by the province’s large industries, especially in the conditions of water shortage crisis. He stated: “Given the specific geographical location of Isfahan province and frequent droughts, the issue of industrial water supply has been on the agenda for years, and with the establishment of the Water Transfer and Large Industries Joint Stock Company of the province, a path to utilize sustainable resources such as the water of the Oman Sea has been provided.” Stating that the water transfer project from the sea has been designed in two phases, he clarified: “The first phase of this project includes transferring water with a branch from the 339 km long Vasco line to Isfahan, which extends in two northern and southern routes with lengths of 240 km and 219 km. The northern route of this project delivers water to the Isfahan Refinery, where the trial operation of this phase has already begun at the Isfahan Refinery, and it is planned that about 700,000 cubic meters of water will be supplied to the Isfahan Refinery’s monthly needs through this route.
Isfahan Refinery’s big step towards sustainable water supply for industries
The CEO of the Isfahan Oil Refinery, emphasizing the continuity and sustainability of production in this company, announced that the Isfahan Refinery is the first industry in the province to use seawater, and stated: With the implementation of the water transfer plan from the sea, one of the biggest challenges of Isfahan industries, namely water shortage, will be resolved, and the capacity to supply the water needed by the province’s industries through this route exists.
