Implementation of 36 consumption management packages in the country’s electricity industry

According to Energy Press, Abdul Amir Yaqouti of Tavanir added: “Reduced precipitation, early temperature increases, and restrictions on fuel supply to power plants were among the serious challenges at the beginning of this year that made the development of these packages necessary.”
Explaining the content of these packages, he stated: “This set is divided into three main axes: load management (shifting consumption to off-peak hours), savings, and executive and management structures for the precise implementation of programs.”
Yaqouti went on to point out one of the most important issues in the electricity industry these days, namely the electricity consumption of unauthorized cryptocurrency mining centers, and said: “One of the executive packages is specifically dedicated to identifying and curbing these illegal uses.”
In response to some criticisms that accuse the Ministry of Energy of ignoring the activities of these centers, the Director General of Energy Affairs of Tavanir said: “From an expert perspective, these claims can be examined, but it should be noted that it is very difficult to accurately identify these uses with existing technical tools.” Fortunately, using public reports, cooperation with intelligence agencies, and monitoring network parameters and abnormal usage, we have succeeded in discovering and collecting a large portion of these centers.
