How much is the water reserves of Iran’s dams?
The 6% increase in the water input to the country's dams and the 6% increase in the water output from the dams compared to the water year 2022-2023 and the end of the water year 2023-2024 with a 12% increase in the reserves of the dams compared to the same time last year are important indicators of the water year that has ended.

According to Energy Press, at the end of the water year, a total of 41 billion and 920 million cubic meters of water entered Iran’s dams, which was a 6% increase compared to the 39 billion and 450 million cubic meters of water entering the dams in the previous water year.
Also, during this period, in order to provide drinking water, agriculture, industry and environmental issues as well as hydroelectric energy production, 39 billion cubic meters of water have been released from the country’s dams, which is more than the output of 36 billion and 830 million cubic meters of water in the same period of the previous water year. Dams show a growth of 6%.
