The government spokesman said: "With the measures taken, we will see positive developments in the coming days towards preventing fuel smuggling."

According to Energy Press, Fatemeh Mohajerani stated today (Wednesday, January 16) on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting and in a group of reporters regarding the measures taken to combat fuel smuggling: The President was concerned about this issue, and reports were submitted in this regard. Appropriate measures have also been taken and networks in this regard have been identified and destroyed. We will witness positive developments in the coming days in the direction of preventing fuel smuggling. In response to a question about the President’s announcement of readiness to talk with the United States and the Trump administration in an interview with NBC, she added: “Basically, negotiating or not negotiating are issues that are examined in accordance with the general principles of the system. If we are to negotiate or not negotiate, it is based on the three pillars of honor, wisdom, and expediency that the leadership has ordered. The government will definitely move in the direction of preserving Iranian honor and dignity in line with the interests of the country and the system.”
