GECF Secretary General Arrives in Tehran to Attend Gas Exporters Summit

According to Energy Press, Mohammad Hamel, Secretary General of GECF, arrived in Tehran this morning (Wednesday) to attend the 26th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
So far, seven summits, 25 ministerial meetings, 49 executive board meetings, and 55 technical economic council meetings of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum have been held.
Since the establishment of the forum, Iran has hosted the first meeting in 2005, the 15th meeting in 2013, and the 17th ministerial meeting in 2015, in addition to hosting the third summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in 2015.
The 26th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum is the fourth time Iran has hosted the ministers of oil and energy of the forum, which will be held in Tehran from 6 to 8 December. An extraordinary executive board meeting will be held on Friday (6 December). On Saturday, in addition to the forum participants visiting the capabilities of the Iranian oil industry at the Petroleum Industry Research Institute, bilateral meetings between ministers and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran are planned. On Saturday evening, the global outlook report, short-term gas market report, and statistical yearbook of the forum will be presented to members and journalists.
