Gas exports to Iraq and Türkiye remain intact
The Deputy Minister of Oil announced in a press conference the export of gas to Iraq and the possibility of extending the long-term contract for gas exports to Türkiye.

According to Energy Press, Saeed Tavakoli, CEO of the National Gas Company, announced that gas exports to Iraq are still ongoing. Regarding the gas export contract to Turkey, which expires this year, he also announced: Negotiations to extend this contract have begun some time ago and are still ongoing. According to the Seventh Development Plan, the National Gas Company is obliged to strengthen gas trade and energy diplomacy. He stated: If the Turkish side is interested in continuing cooperation and receiving Iranian gas, which seems to be the case, extending the contract is on the agenda, but its conditions and details require further review and agreement.
