Gas consumption in the domestic sector was announced at 610 million cubic meters
A spokesperson for the National Iranian Gas Company announced yesterday that the amount of gas consumed in the domestic, commercial, and small industrial sectors was 610 million cubic meters out of a total of 859 million cubic meters of total gas consumed in the country.

According to Energy Press, Seyyed Hassan Mousavi stated that the country’s total natural gas consumption on Tuesday (January 24) was 859 million cubic meters, and said: Of this amount, 610 million cubic meters were related to the domestic, commercial and small industries, which accounted for 71 percent of the total consumption.
He added: Comparing the gas consumption of the domestic, commercial and small industries with the same day last year shows that this sector has faced an 18 percent increase. This significant growth in consumption requires better management and optimization of energy consumption in the cold days ahead.
According to Shana, after the cold weather and the forecast of a decrease in temperature, President Masoud Pezzekian, Minister of Oil Mohsen Paknejad and a group of country officials invited people to participate in the “2 degrees less” campaign by publishing visual or written messages with the aim of optimal consumption and providing winter fuel.
