Foreign Minister announces follow-up on Russian gas exports to Iran during President’s visit
The Foreign Minister referred to the President's plans for his trip to Russia and said: "We will have important negotiations in several areas, one of which is the issue of exporting Russian gas to Iran and transporting Russian gas from Iran, which could turn Iran into an energy and gas hub in the region."

According to Energy Press, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, appearing on a special news talk show on Tuesday evening (January 15), pointed out that the President’s visit to Tajikistan and Russia is in line with the 14th government’s good-neighborly policy, and stated: The visit to Tajikistan is the first trip to the Eurasian region, where there are deep civilizational ties between the two countries. The cultural ties between us have been very strong since the past and have grown very well in recent years. We were present and cooperated in Tajikistan in various fields and projects. In the past three years, trade between the two countries has increased fivefold, which indicates how economic cooperation is accelerating and has taken a very good course. He added: In addition to the political meetings, which have their own importance, several significant moves will be made in this visit, one of which is a meeting between businessmen from the two countries. A large business delegation will accompany the President on this trip. This is a very good tradition that has been the case during the President’s trips in the past, and we continue this now that economic and trade delegations and businessmen, including from the private sector, accompany the President. The Foreign Minister stated: “During this trip, an economic and trade meeting will be held between businessmen and economic activists from both sides, and a very long and large meeting is being prepared, in which the presidents of the two countries will participate and speak. This is a significant move.”
