First Vice President: Iran’s oil sales sub-channels should be made transparent
The first vice president said: The growth of oil exports in the 7th annual development plan has been seen by 12% and the annual growth of the oil sector in the economy by 9%.

With a value of 20 thousand billion dollars, it is one of the other advantages of this ministry in the development and progress of the country.
Referring to Iran’s third place in crude oil reserves with 208 billion barrels of oil and second place in gas reserves with 32 trillion cubic meters, the first vice president continued: Iran’s total oil and gas reserves are the first in the world with a value of 340 billion dollars. It has the two advantages of manpower and oil and gas reserves, which is a very good support for the implementation and realization of the 7th Development Plan.
Strengthening the role of oil and gas in Iran’s economic indicators
Referring to the important role of the Ministry of Oil in achieving the goals of the 20-year vision document, Aref emphasized: In the new working period of the Ministry of Oil, efforts should be made to strengthen the contribution of oil and gas in the development of the country in general and especially in economic indicators.
Emphasizing the necessity of implementing the general policies of the resistance economy with the main strategy of making the country resistant to external events and impulses and the oppressive sanctions of the West and the United States, he clarified: favorable strategies have been seen in the policies of the resistance economy in the oil and gas sector, and in this context, confronting It has priority due to the vulnerability of oil and gas revenues.
The first vice president added: In the past years, there have been instabilities in the country’s oil and gas revenues, but now the country is in a situation where it can choose strategic customers.
Aref stated: “Perhaps at times we used sub-channels to sell oil, and we should make this clear.” On the other hand, how to sell petroleum products with stable customers that can be counted on should be investigated and operationalized in the Ministry of Petroleum.
Strengthening the participation of the private sector in the sale of oil
Referring to the good experiences of the past years in creating diversity in oil sales methods, he emphasized: We must summarize the methods used in the past, and in this direction, the participation of the private sector in oil sales is essential.
The first vice president emphasized that the private sector should be looked at in the diversity of oil sales methods and stated: As far as the policies of Article 44 allow, the private sector can participate, but in the past years monopolization and The government ruled among managers with the justification of principle 44. Meanwhile, since the approval of these policies by the Supreme Leader and legal approval, the path has been opened for the participation of the private sector, and the presence of government departments is not an obstacle for the participation of the private sector.
Pointing to the importance of increasing the export of oil and gas, as well as oil products and gas condensate, Aref continued: Gas swap has become the country’s strategy in the past, which can help transform the Islamic Republic of Iran as an energy hub in the region. Besides that, the export of petrochemicals and oil products is another advantage that plays an important role in development, meeting needs and creating jobs.
He added: Article 4 of the Fourth Development Plan was very strategic, but it was removed in the 7th Parliament of the Islamic Council due to the government’s focus and approach, and now I want the Minister of Oil to review and announce the achievements of Article 4 for the country.
