Fear and flight of giant oil tankers from the Strait of Hormuz

According to Energy Press and Bloomberg, following the escalation of tensions between Iran and the United States, two super-heavy oil tankers named Coswisdom Lake and South Loyalty, each with a capacity to carry 2 million barrels of crude oil, changed their course near the Strait of Hormuz and retreated south.
The two empty tankers, after the US airstrikes on Iranian territory, have refrained from passing through the mouth of the Persian Gulf due to concerns about a possible military response that could threaten the security of shipping in the region.
Analysts believe some shipping companies may prefer to stay out of the region for now, especially with the potential for loading delays at Iranian ports.
