Energy subsidy has caused unrealistic demands for petrochemical products

Energy subsidy has caused unrealistic demands for petrochemical products
Tajik, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce's Energy Commission, said: "There are many problems with the way of supplying and discovering the prices of products in the stock market, and the existence of Syrian companies and unrealistic demands is one of them."

According to Energy Press, many experts believe that a significant part of the demand in the commodity exchange is unrealistic and goes to brokers and Syrian companies. This is the same challenge that Saeed Tajik, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce’s Energy Commission, confirms. Of course, he believes that the stock market helps to discover the price of products properly. Because there is no better mechanism for determining the price of petrochemical products that have benefited from energy subsidies in our country.
He continues: Maybe discovering the price in the commodity exchange is not a principled and correct way and there are many chats, but it can be considered as a short way to sell products in a competitive market and far from monopoly. Because the supply of products that have benefited from some kind of energy subsidy is considered a rent in a mechanism other than the stock market and will definitely lead to widespread corruption.
This private sector activist continued: Of course, there are many problems with the way of supplying and discovering the prices of products in the stock market, and the existence of Syrian companies and unrealistic demands is one of them. Meanwhile, the number of companies that demand more than their needs is not small. The root of this problem is the subsidy and energy rent paid by the government. As long as this problem is not solved, there will be competition to receive this product.
In another part of his speech, Tajik mentioned other challenges of petrochemical industry producers and added: Unfortunately, in some months of the year, due to the increase in domestic demand, we see a ban on the export of some petrochemical products, which causes the loss of Iran’s export markets. will be We should not forget that it takes months and years to get a market and the presence of Iranian items in them, and we should not allow our overnight policies to destroy these markets.
