Electricity production at Neka Power Plant increased by 10 percent

Electricity production at Neka Power Plant increased by 10 percent
The CEO of Neka Power Generation Management Company said: "The net energy production of the Shahid Salimi Neka Power Plant increased by about 10 percent in the past 9 months compared to the same period last year, despite restrictions on the allocation of gas and diesel fuel."

According to Energy Press, Noorollah Adabi Firouzjaei announced this news in an interview with the media on Wednesday, January 25, adding: In these 9 months, about 7 billion 445 million 776 thousand kilowatt hours of net energy were produced in steam units and combined cycle blocks and injected into the country’s national electricity grid.
Stating that from the beginning of this year to the end of autumn, 73 percent of the energy produced was obtained in steam units and about 27 percent in combined cycle blocks, he clarified: During this period, about 84 percent of the annual committed energy of the power plant was achieved according to plan.
Referring to the 8.6 percent increase in the power plant’s energy production readiness during this period compared to last year, the CEO of NEKA Power Generation Management Company said: In December, about 659 million 523 thousand kilowatt hours of net energy were produced in the power plant units, which is a 14.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Adabi continued by emphasizing the necessity of promoting and institutionalizing the culture of energy consumption management, including gas and electricity, in all seasons of the year, and reminded: Electricity is a valuable commodity that is produced with great difficulty and at great expense. However, considering the early onset of cold weather and despite the limitation of fuel allocation to power plants this fall, as well as the high intensity of energy consumption, which is one of the important challenges of our country, it is expected that compatriots will join the national campaign “Two Degrees Less” and help preserve national capital through efficient energy consumption so that all compatriots can enjoy the blessing of gas fuel and, consequently, sustainable electricity.
