Development of the 400 kV Fajr Energy Persian Gulf substation at the terminal station/increasing energy transmission from Bafjar to industries and the national grid

Development of the 400 kV Fajr Energy Persian Gulf substation at the terminal station/increasing energy transmission from Bafjar to industries and the national grid
The 400 kV substation development plan, which is the first part of Fajr Company's recent development plans and is intended to increase the capacity of electricity transmission to requesting industries and the national grid, has reached 81 percent progress.

According to Energy Press, citing the public relations of Fajr Energy Persian Gulf Company, as the driving force of the petrochemical industries in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone, this company is responsible for generating and sending electricity, steam, industrial air, industrial water, and industrial wastewater treatment. Electricity is the most strategic product of this company, which plays a special role in the sustainability of petrochemical production in the region. Fajr Energy can produce a total of 1,147 megawatt hours of electricity with its two power plants. The electricity generated from these power plants, after increasing to a voltage level of 132 kilovolts, is sent to two electricity distribution and transmission stations to be finally injected into the regional companies or the national electricity grid. In addition to ensuring the stability of electricity in the petrochemical industries of the Special Economic Zone, Fajr Energy injects 500 megawatt hours of electricity (instantaneous power) into the national grid for the comfort of the educated people of Khuzestan Province during the hot months of the year. Fajr substations are divided into two types: AIS (air insulated outdoor substations) and GIS (gas insulated substations).
The overhead lines are located in the 400 kV substation section of the company. In this substation, two transformers with a capacity of 315 megavolts each are responsible for increasing the voltage from 132 to 400 kV. The overhead substations are used to connect the company’s power network to the national power grid using overhead lines to provide the ability to receive and send electricity. Given the importance of this overhead substation and in order to increase the power transmission capacity and also maintain the stability of production, the development of the 400 kV substation has been recognized as a strategic need.
