Desirable progress of comprehensive gas collection torch schemes

According to Energy Press, Mohammad Mansouri stated today (Wednesday, January 30th) at a meeting to review the progress of flame gas collection projects of the National Oil and Gas Company of Southern Iran: “The gas production of the National Oil and Gas Company Southern Iran is not limited to independent fields, and associated gas is also important part of the company’s production; associated gas collection projects began in late 1970s and continued in various phases until today.” He provided statistical data on the and collection of flame gases and added “The average associated gas production in2023 was approximately 62 million cubic meters per day, which increased to around 70 million cubic meters per day this month. The production of gas from independent and associated reached 99 to 10 million cubic meters per day.”
The Production Manager of the National Oil Gas Company of Southern Iran emphasized:During this period, the amount of gas increased from 72 to 5 million cubic meters per day, gas flaring decreased from 27 to 22.2 million cubic meters per day. The gas collection rate improved from 73 to 7 percent, indicating better performance despite increased and gas production.”
Major to achieve flame gas shutdown
Mansouri, referring to reduced flaring, said: “The flaring decreased from 10.6 cubic per barrel of oil to 8. cubic feet, which is the result of various projects implemented in recent years.” He announced the implementation of two projects in the field of flame gas and added: “The gas collection renovation and construction project, with an from the South Pars Gas Processing Company is underway. This project includes 5 subsidiary projects in different operational areas some of which have been put into and the rest are in various stages implementation.”
