Deputy Oil Minister: Power plant fuel reserves are sufficient/ No blackouts will be applied

The deputy minister of oil said: With the registration of a historical record in liquid fuel delivery to power plants in December, the power plant fuel reserves reached an optimal condition, and this very fact led to no planned power outages in the country during the peak of the cold season.
According to Energy Press, Mohammad Sadegh Azimi Far – CEO of the National Petroleum Refining and Distribution Company – stated among journalists: The average consumption of gasoline in December of this year was approximately 124 million liters per day.
He added: As we have entered the cold season the average consumption is lower than the average, and at present, we are mainly focused on supplying fuel to power.
Azimi Far continued: In December, a record was set for the delivery of liquid fuel to power; in other words, the average of diesel to power plants was 58 million liters per day, which a historic record. Also, fortunately the status of power plant reserves is favorable, so there has been no power cut.
