Daily injection of 850 million cubic meters of gas; schools are being equipped with smart engine rooms

According to Energy Press, Saeed Tavakoli stated today (Monday, December 1) at the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the National Iranian Gas Company and the School Renovation, Development and Equipment Organization in the national plan to increase the efficiency of engine rooms and replace high-efficiency systems in schools: Despite all the restrictions and issues resulting from sanctions, about 850 million cubic meters of gas are injected into the national network daily.
Stating that unfortunately, the intensity of energy consumption in Iran is very high compared to advanced countries, he added: In the past 20 years, Iran has had the highest increase in energy consumption intensity among 172 countries in the world; while advanced countries such as Norway have been able to reduce their energy consumption, Iran continues to consume energy excessively and excessively.
Raising awareness among students
The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, referring to the measures taken to raise awareness among students and teachers in schools, said: Plans to raise awareness among students and teachers about the efficient use of gas and energy have been implemented in schools in the country since last year in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. These plans help students become familiar with the concept of efficient use from an early age and understand it in their daily behavior.
Tavakoli considered increasing the efficiency of engine rooms and replacing high-efficiency systems in schools as the main steps to reduce energy consumption in the country and continued: These measures can be significantly effective in reducing energy consumption in schools and can be implemented as a positive model in other sectors.
He addressed the issue of optimizing energy consumption in the country and emphasized the need to change attitudes towards energy consumption, especially in the agricultural sector, and stated: Recently, the Minister of Agricultural Jihad and the Governor of East Azerbaijan Province pointed out some points that are worth considering during a visit to a greenhouse. During this visit, a point was raised: why should greenhouses mainly use gas to produce agricultural products?!
Virtual gas transfer to other countries
The Deputy Minister of Oil stated that Russia, which is the second largest gas producer in the world, imports agricultural products despite these huge gas resources, and stated: This is while the country is lacking in water resources. This means that gas and water are transferred virtually to other countries, and we in Iran are mistakenly increasing gas consumption for the production of agricultural products.
