Currency price differences have increased demand for petrochemical product exports
The Secretary General of the Iranian Petrochemical Industry Employers' Association emphasized the necessity of completing the value chain in the petrochemical industry at the opening ceremony of the 19th Iran Plast Exhibition.

According to Energy Press, Ahmad Mahdavi Abhari, Secretary General of the Iranian Petrochemical Industry Employers’ Association, emphasized the need to complete the value chain in the petrochemical industry at the opening ceremony of the 19th Iran Plast Exhibition.
Referring to the importance of downstream industries, he said: “Can petrochemicals not be bothered by money and not want to convert raw materials into higher value-added goods? Our task is to produce polymer materials, and it is these downstream industries that must use existing capacities and the support of the Presidential Vice-President for Technology to present technological plans and produce diverse products.”
Stating that the petrochemical industry’s priority is to meet domestic needs, Mahdavi Abhari added: “In the past five months, most of the products have been supplied to the domestic market and exports are carried out only after meeting the country’s needs. Of course, the difference in the exchange rate in the free market and the base rate of petrochemical products has increased demand for exports.
