Continuous record-breaking gas production in the country/collection of 20 million cubic meters of gas by next year

According to Energy Press, Hamid Borde, at a meeting of the Council of Deputy Oil Ministers on Saturday (January 12) in the presence of Mohammad Reza Aref, First Vice President, and referring to the commitment of the Ministry of Oil to increase Iran’s oil production capacity by 250,000 barrels by the end of this year, stated: “Important steps have been taken in this regard and we will achieve this increase in production by the end of the year.” He stated that the increase in oil production in the last four months was achieved through the efforts of oil industry colleagues in the subsidiaries of the National Iranian Oil Company, and continued: “Given the measures taken, the development of the Khesht oil field in the south of Fars province became operational, and the second well of the “D” gas field also came into operation, and the third well of this field will be produced in a few days.” Record-breaking in Iran’s gas production The Deputy Oil Minister emphasized: “The 14th government has broken the gas production record four times and we were able to have 1 billion and 104 million cubic meters of gas production in one day so that there will be no problem in supplying gas to the network.” Referring to the need for efficient energy consumption in the country, the board said: “Not observing fair gas consumption has caught us, because precise decisions have not been made in this area.” He clarified: “100 investment packages in the oil industry are ready, which will be presented to the domestic and foreign private sectors in a seminar in the coming weeks with the presence of the Minister of Oil, and will pave the way for increasing oil and gas production in the country.”
