The director of the National Oil Products Distribution Company of Lorestan region said: In order to eliminate refueling by oil tankers, reduce fuel transportation costs and maintain fuel supply to power plants in the cold seasons of the year, Khorram Abad combined cycle power plant will be connected to Lorestan oil products transportation pipelines.

According to Energy Press, citing National Oil Products Distribution Company of Lorestan Region, Seyyed Shamsuddin Hosseini stated in the review meeting of the status of the project of connecting pipelines for the transfer of oil products to the reservoirs of Khorram Abad Combined Cycle Power Plant: With the launch of this project, the daily need of oil and gas of the Combined Cycle Power Plant through the lines The pipeline is secured and important achievements include eliminating the road traffic of oil tanker trucks, reducing traffic accidents, preventing environmental pollution, reducing government costs and preventing fuel smuggling.
In this meeting, Mohammadreza Sephond, the inspector of Lorestan region, also discussed the prevention of fuel smuggling, the observance of the tripartite memorandum between the National Oil Products Distribution Company, the specialized mother company for the production, transmission and distribution of electric power, and the province’s anti-trafficking of goods and foreign exchange headquarters, and the observance of process guidelines. He considered the qualitative and quantitative control of the liquid fuel input to the power plants as one of the important advantages of the Khorramabad combined cycle power plant connection project to the oil products transmission pipelines of Lorestan province.
