Complete implementation of the goals of the first year of the Seventh Plan in the petrochemical industry
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company announced the implementation of 100 percent of the goals of the first year of the Seventh Development Plan in the petrochemical industry and emphasized the need for stricter inspections in the field of safety and improving process safety.

According to Energy Press, Hassan Abbaszadeh today (Wednesday, November 18) at the third Process Safety Management Conference, explaining the dimensions of the 12-day war and the measures taken in the field of crisis management and safety in the petrochemical industry, emphasized: We have passed a serious crisis, which requires a detailed analysis and review, and the industry’s safety processes to be strengthened in a multi-layered manner.
Pointing out that as soon as the war broke out, emergency management and control groups were formed at the level of the National Petrochemical Industries Company, he said: The consequences of some accidents in the petrochemical industry can be challenging, and this highlights the need for multi-layered safety systems even more than before.
Using the lessons learned from the 12-day war
Stating that sensitivity to some risks should be increased, the CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company added: Today, we must learn from the experiences of the 12-day war. The country’s Passive Defense Organization has also recently revised its strategies and approaches.
Emphasizing full vigilance towards rare but challenging incidents, Abbaszadeh stated: Safety issues related to the petrochemical industry should be examined in an integrated manner and the time to achieve safe conditions should be shortened as much as possible.
In explaining the crisis management process, he emphasized the need to maintain the integrity of crisis management and stated: Safety inspections should be made more stringent and the improvement of process safety should be continuously monitored.
Advanced monitoring and control systems in the petrochemical industry
The Deputy Minister of Oil, pointing out that the monitoring and control systems of the petrochemical industry are advanced, said: This meeting is not a conference; it is a specialized meeting for joint learning. We made a lot of effort during the 12 days and now we need to see in which areas we could have acted faster and better. System recovery is valuable when we learn from experiences.
Abbaszadeh considered the policy governing the petrochemical industry in the Seventh Development Plan to be the completion of the value chain and added: “The review of the executive performance of the agencies in the Seventh Development Plan by the Parliament showed that the petrochemical industry has achieved 100 percent of the goals of the first year of the plan.”
