With the successful completion of major repairs on 35 South Pars platforms, Pars Oil and Gas Company announced that it is ready to provide the country with sustainable gas supply during the winter season. The operation was carried out over a six-month period and involved upgrading process and safety equipment.

The South Pars gas field, which supplies 70 percent of the country's gas, has entered a natural pressure drop phase. Implementing a pressure-boosting plan with the aim of maintaining production, preventing gas migration to Qatar, and increasing the recovery rate is a vital step in managing the country's gas balance.

With the successful launch of the F43 well in the Yadavaran joint field, the plan to increase production in this field has entered the implementation phase. As the first of 24 new wells, this well has achieved sustainable production by relying on domestic capacity and complying with safety and environmental requirements.

The Abadan Refinery, as the first and largest oil refinery in the Middle East, with a history of over a century, continues to play a key role in supplying petroleum products to Iran and the region. At its peak, the refinery became the largest refinery in the world, with a refining capacity of 520,000 barrels per day, and is a symbol of the self-sufficiency and resilience of the Iranian oil industry.
