The secretary of the Electricity Industry Syndicate stated that the efficiency of the country's power plants in the best conditions is around 40 percent, adding: "In other words, 60 percent of the power plant fuel is wasted."

The Minister of Energy said: "Currently, the amount of fuel delivered to power plants has increased, and it can be said that the fuel imbalance of power plants has improved."

According to a report by the Iranian Water Resources Management Company, the inflow of the country's dams in the current water year is 2.76 billion cubic meters, which represents a 12 percent decrease compared to the inflow of 3.14 billion cubic meters last year.

Mohsen Zanganeh, deputy chairman of the 1404 budget bill consolidation committee, said: "The import of gasoline into the country has not been banned according to the approvals of the consolidation committee."

Emphasizing that our demand for people to save on gas and other energy carriers does not mean not consuming them, the Minister of Oil said: "If people reduce the temperature of their home heating systems by one degree, it will play an effective role in eliminating part of the gas imbalance in the country."

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, emphasized the organized smuggling of petroleum products and the inefficiency in implementing the Seventh Development Plan, calling for national determination and serious measures to solve these problems.

A member of the presiding board of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly pointed out the role of worn-out vehicles in the imbalance of gasoline and air pollution and said: "Now is the time to take a more serious look at the issue of diversifying the fuel basket, scrapping worn-out vehicles, introducing electric vehicles, and optimizing consumption."

The Ministry of Oil's request for investment in the Foruzan Joint Oil Field Development Plan was discussed and reviewed at the Economic Council meeting.

Deputy Minister of Energy Tarz Talab announced an increase of 500 megawatts in the capacity of renewable power plants by the end of this year, adding: "The capacity of new energies in the country will increase to more than 1,800 megawatts this year."

The Minister of Oil considered the South Pars gas field pressure boosting as one of the most important projects of the National Iranian Oil Company and said: "Before the end of this year, we will announce good news for the finalization of some of the South Pars pressure boosting contracts."
