The First Vice President said at the first meeting of the "Regional Energy Trade Steering Committee": "The Islamic Republic of Iran must become the regional energy trade center, and achieving this goal is of great importance to the 14th government and is part of our strategies that we are pursuing seriously."

According to Energy Press, in this meeting, which was held in the office of the First Vice President with the presence of legal members of the “Regional Energy Trade Steering Committee”, the Minister of Oil first presented a comprehensive report on the measures taken in the field of swap services with neighboring countries and its impact on helping to compensate for the natural gas imbalance in the northern parts of the country and developing strategic cooperation with neighbors and strengthening the country’s position in the regional energy market, and considered the implementation of this plan to be very valuable, especially for eliminating the country’s energy imbalance and Iran’s influence in the regional energy market.
Continuing this meeting, Aref congratulated Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) and said: “Based on the law of the Seventh Five-Year Progress Plan, the Islamic Republic of Iran must become the regional energy exchange center (hub), and we must strive to achieve this goal, which is one of the strategies of the fourteenth government, and accordingly, the first meeting of the Regional Energy Trade Steering Committee was held.”
The First Vice President continued by stating that the implementation of this law can help eliminate energy imbalances and reduce the losses and losses of the industry due to the lack of energy, saying: “We thank God that the first meeting of this headquarters was held in this government, and from now on, by forming the headquarters secretariat in the Ministry of Oil, we must strive to hold meetings regularly and make accurate and expert decisions in this area.”
