Araqchi: Attack on Assaluyeh is a blatant aggression and a very dangerous act

According to Energy Press, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with ambassadors, chargés-de-affaires, and heads of foreign and international missions residing in Tehran at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday morning and gave an explanation regarding the recent developments as follows:
Unfortunately, the Security Council has been indifferent. I thank the countries that condemned this aggression, but there were countries that claim to be civilized in Europe, but instead of condemning Israel, they condemned Iran.
We reacted to these attacks based on the principle of defending our own lines. It is the legitimate right of every country to defend itself against aggression, and this is what our armed forces began two nights ago.
Our intention in launching missile attacks on military and economic targets in the occupied Palestinian territory is only to defend ourselves and confront aggression. We only targeted military targets on the first night, and because the regime targeted economic targets yesterday, we also targeted economic targets last night and organized economic targets last night.
The attack on Assaluyeh is a clear aggression and a very dangerous act. Dragging the conflict to the Persian Gulf is a strategic mistake and its aim is to drag the war beyond Iranian territory. Any military development in this region could affect the entire world and we hope that the international community will take action to stop the crimes.
Unfortunately, it has been met with indifference by the Security Council. I thank the countries that condemned this aggression, but there were countries that claim to be civilized in Europe, instead of condemning Israel, they condemned Iran.
