Announcement of the official selling price of Iranian oil in March

According to Energy Press, the selling prices of Iranian crude oil in the third month of 2025 were announced by the International Affairs Department of the National Iranian Oil Company. Accordingly, “Iranian light crude oil” is offered in the markets of Northwestern Europe and South Africa in March, with a slight increase compared to the previous month, $1.85 higher than the ICE Bwave index. Also, “Iranian heavy crude oil” and “Iranian light oil” have been priced in these markets during this month, 5 and 15 cents higher than the ICE Bwave index, respectively.
In the Mediterranean market, “heavy” and “light” Iranian oil are also offered, 15 and 5 cents lower than the ICE Bwave index, respectively. Also, “Iranian light” oil has been priced in this market at 1.95 cents higher than the weighted average price of Brent crude oil.
For pricing Iranian crude oil in non-Asian markets this month, as in the previous month, the ICE Bwave index has been used. This index is based on the weighted average price of Brent crude oil on the London ICE stock exchange on days when more than 1,000 lots (one million barrels of oil) are traded.
