Announcement of the guaranteed electricity purchase rate of solar power plants

According to Energy Press, with the approval of the guaranteed electricity purchase rate for renewable power plants by the Ministry of Energy, the guaranteed purchase price of branch solar power plants included in the support plan for low-income groups has been set at 30,000 Rials per kilowatt hour.

It is possible to buy electricity from branch solar power plants built by school benefactors in schools and educational institutions at the rate of 30,000 Rials per kilowatt hour.

These power plants, including the power plants built by low-income groups and school-building benefactors, are not subject to the application of purchase rate reduction coefficients (period coefficient) in the final invoice figure at the beginning of the 8th, 12th and 16th years.

According to this report, taking into account the support and special tariffs for this category of power plants, the rate increase for localization points has been applied to these power plants and will not be recalculated.
Also, the guaranteed purchase price of electricity from small-scale solar power plants with a capacity of 20 kilowatts and less has been set at 25,000 rials per kilowatt hour. In addition, the guaranteed purchase rate for small-scale power plants with a capacity of 20 kilowatts to one megawatt has been set at 22,000 rials per kilowatt hour.

This report indicates that the new rates set for the guaranteed purchase of electricity from renewable power plants have grown by about 40% compared to last year.

According to this report, upon the request of the investor, the base rate of the contracts that were exchanged before this resolution from Article 61 of the Energy Consumption Pattern Amendment Law can be modified to the new notified rates by complying with the other conditions announced in this resolution.
