Acceleration in the implementation of refining industry quality improvement projects / Latest status of three national priority projects

According to Energy Press, citing the National Iranian Refining and Distribution Company’s information site, Mohammad Sadegh Azimifar, CEO of the National Iranian Refining and Distribution Company, considered the precise implementation of the tasks of the Seventh Development Plan in the field of “improving the complexity of refineries” and “completing the value chain” to be the definitive and unchangeable strategy of the Ministry of Oil, and stated: The movement to improve the quality and optimize processes is underway in 9 oil refineries in the country, but with the establishment of the 14th government, prioritization of projects was carried out operationally to compensate for the years of backlog. Emphasizing that the opportunity for trial and error has ended, he added: The first output of this approach was the successful launch of the diesel hydrogen treatment (DHT) unit of the Shiraz refinery with a capacity of 26,000 barrels per day in Khordad 1404; A project that has achieved the production of diesel with Euro 5 standards and at the same time provided economic benefits and environmental requirements, and is in a stable production cycle this winter. He added: Also, in the year of the establishment of the 14th government, the isomerization unit of the Shiraz refinery was put into service, and the total production of 1.65 million liters of the refinery was supplied with Euro quality. Azimifar continued: Later in the same year (1403), the Isomax unit of the Abadan refinery was also put into service, which led to an increase in the production of 3 million liters per day of oil and gas produced by the refinery.
