A record of 106 million cubic meters of gas production was recorded in the country
Raw gas production exceeded 1,100 million cubic meters in the last days of February, and with the production of 1 billion and 106 million cubic meters of raw gas in one night, a new record was set in the country's gas production.

According to Energy Press, the share of more than 75% of gas in the country’s energy supply basket and the dependence of more than 90% of the country’s electricity production on natural gas show the importance of increasing gas production in Iran.
With about 33 trillion cubic meters of proven gas reserves, Iran is the second largest holder of gas reserves in the world and has great potential for developing the gas production sector in joint and independent gas fields and even areas under exploration.
In recent days, for the first time, the country’s daily crude gas production exceeded 1,100 million cubic meters, and with the production of 1 billion and 106 million cubic meters of raw gas in a single night, a new record was recorded in the country’s gas production.
Simultaneously with the recording of this record, the gas production record in South Pars was also broken, reaching an unprecedented figure of 716 million cubic meters. The South Pars joint field has a 70% share in the country’s daily gas production.
