Restrictions on the gas flow of Iran’s petrochemicals
Secretary General of the Iranian Petrochemical Industry Employers Association: Due to the cold weather, petrochemicals were completely restricted, and most of the petrochemicals that use methane gas are cut off. Last year, due to gas restrictions, we lost 700 million dollars in profit.
According to Energy Press, the Secretary General of the Iranian Petrochemical Industry Employers’ Association said: “The cries we are making for investing in gas fields, optimal consumption, and savings are due to the fact that production will not be harmed, while we should have thought about it years ago.”
Our regret is that the officials of the Ministry of Oil, including the past and present officials, should be held accountable for not thinking about these issues and not allowing the private sector to invest, because you allow the private sector to enter when foreign investors are not able to invest.
